You know, those all time favorite characters you want to hug and place in bubble wrap and take them away from their author until said author learns to play nice? Leith is one of them. Apparently that’s now what we call sweet, adorable, precious characters who face terrible struggles (e.g. I was intensely stressed while reading Defy. Seriously, The Blades of Acktar are some of the few books that have stressed me out. Oh, where to start? It takes a special kind of author to drag me into a story and make me feel all the emotions.
